Project Highlights: All of the millwork and pressed tin accents were hand detailed, on site, in multi-layered, distressed and glazed finishes. The bar is U-shaped and has two levels. The upper bar is solid reclaimed hemlock from a large tree lost in one of the previous season's storms. The lower bar or work surface is crafted from metal sheets applied by hand, washed with an acid patina and then sealed for durability. Architectural details provide a sense of history, while custom leather panels and other accent shevling allow for a flexible and growing number of athletic accessories. Philip Sassano Design was contracted to create the overall vision for project, as well as supply the detailed CAD work in support of the general contractor. Of greater significance, was the firms unique role as contractor for the special finishing requirements related to the millwork and numerous custom decorative elements.
