Project Highlights: This fully finished basement is a provocative departure from the wine cellars and home theaters found in today's luxury interiors. Much of the millwork is reclaimed pine from the Midwest. The floors are wide plank, hand-scraped hickory. The doors throughout the basement each tell a story, whether it be tales from an old monastery or fables from the Eastern European countryside. The ceiling is hand detailed pressed tin, and the accessories were all hand selected so that no detail was missed. A 28 ft. skull is suspended from the ceiling above custom framed photos of Ireland taken by the client. The bar is equipped with a commercial grade keg cooler, with Bass and Guinness on tap. Reclaimed stained glass windows, vintage pub stools and other architectural elements adorn the space. With comfortable seating for 35 guests, the interior is well suited for large gatherings. The fully themed guest bedroom and full bath complete the experience and are equally as detailed.
